PARIS, FRANCE - It has been weeks since the protests began across France in response to the pension age change. Even if you don’t keep a close eye on current events across the globe, it’s hard to not have heard about the protests as they have captured the attention of just about everyone at some point.
One particular group of people, who often refer to themsevles as ‘Degens’ , have begun traveling to France at higher rates over the past couple of months.
This interesting uptick in travel to a place riddled with unrest might be difficult for the average person to understand, but for Degens, it makes perfect sense.
“There’s nothing quite like being right in the middle of absolute chaos” one individual told us. They also remarked “I love that feeling of being with other mentally unstable people while everything around you is burning to the ground.”
Only time will tell if policy changes will be taken in response to the protests. If not, France should not only brace for more protests, but also for a continued influx of some of the most unstable people in the modern world.
